The Firm was founded in 1966 by a group of professionals with previous experience in internationally prestigious accounting firms. The Firm was constituted as a Professional Association in 1978. On January 1, 2000, it changed its name to Resa y Asociados, S.C. In 1981, the Firm became associated with JHI, the world's oldest association of accounting, tax and business advisory professionals.

In September 2020, JHI merged with Abacus Worldwide, an international association of accountants and lawyers with over 110 members located in 51 countries and comprising more than 4,400 professionals. This allows us to provide services outside the national territory in compliance with the necessary regulations and quality standards, as well as to keep up to date with international regulatory developments for application to international clients.
